Liam Closs Mannion graduated from the University of Ottawa in 2008 with a Baccalaurate in Social Sciences, specializing in International Development.  Liam was planning on furthering his studies in this field when he died in a tragic car accident in July 2009.  Liam was 23 years old.  He was an outgoing, passionate & sometimes outrageous young man with many friends & a yen to make a difference. Liam’s  friends & family are keeping his memory & charitable efforts alive by sponsoring a self-sustaining bursary in his name at the University of Ottawa. This bursary will be granted on an annual basis to senior students in the international development stream in Social Sciences, to help enable them to volunteer or study abroad.
